Description
The LT5 Gen V 6.2L Crate Engine is one of General Motors’ most powerful and advanced production engines, engineered to deliver extreme performance, precision, and reliability. This brand new LT5 crate engine, freshly converted from a dry-sump supercharged system to a wet-sump and port-injection configuration, is designed for custom installations that demand both raw power and simplified compatibility. Built on the foundation of the legendary Corvette ZR1’s 755-horsepower powerplant, this engine is ready to elevate any performance project to supercar levels.
The LT5 Gen V is a 6.2-liter (6162cc) aluminum small-block V8 that features forged aluminum pistons, titanium connecting rods, and a supercharged induction system designed for sustained high-output performance. In this converted setup, the engine has been professionally modified to run a wet sump oiling system, which eliminates the need for external scavenge pumps and reservoirs, making it compatible with a wider range of chassis and vehicle layouts. The addition of a port fuel injection system ensures excellent fuel atomization, improved tuning control, and enhanced reliability under demanding street or track conditions.
This configuration makes it a perfect fit for custom performance builds, restomods, and off-road or racing vehicles requiring the power of the ZR1 engine but with simpler installation and maintenance.
Every LT5 Gen V crate engine is built with OEM GM components and thoroughly tested for oil pressure, compression, and fuel delivery performance. It delivers an astonishing 755 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 715 lb-ft (969 Nm) of torque at 4,400 rpm, providing instant throttle response and linear power delivery across the rev range. The supercharger system is an integrated 2.65L Eaton R2650 TVS unit, optimized for high boost efficiency and low parasitic drag.
